what camera or camcorder?
hi all . i will be holidaying this december in snow peaks and mountains and would like to buy a dslr/slr/camcorder..i presently have point and shoot sony dsc camera and would like to graduate to higher models like dslr/slr etc..i am an amateur photographer though..so can u suggest some camera for mountain ohotography(zoom and wide angle power i guess) or should i go with a camcorder..please suggest some mid range models(not professional ones i guess)..also does the camcorder offers all the features of still camera PLUS moving images capture or they are suitable for latter purpose only
If you want to remain in photography, you should stick with Digital still photo cameras.
There are several brand name 8mp, 10mp, and even some higher models that cot $150 or less.
There are also some higher grade consumer camcorders that take very good video and also allow 6mp, 8mp, or better still digital photos. These camcorders normally cost between $500 and $1,000. It all depends on how comfortable you are with taking photos with a camcorder.
